Privacy Policy

1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Painted Sweet LLC, a California limited liability company ("Painted Sweet," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information through the website paintedsweet.com and our booking and party registration process. It applies to information we collect online from adults (parents, guardians, and party hosts). We provide mobile children's craft & paint Parties and public Pop-Up Events in Tulare County, California, and serve customers in the United States.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you choose to give us through our booking, consultation, party registration, and contact forms, and limited technical information collected automatically when you visit our website. This includes:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Party details: the party date and time, the home or venue address where your party will take place, guest count, selected package and add-ons, theme preferences, and any notes you provide (such as allergies or special requests).
  • Pop-Up Event registrations: when you register for a Pop-Up Event, we collect your name, email address, phone number, child's name (optional), and ticket quantity. We use this information to confirm your registration, send your ticket details, and manage party attendance.
  • Booking records: the name typed to agree to our Terms of Service and records of your bookings, consultations, Pop-Up Event registrations, and payments.
  • Email subscriber list: if you choose to subscribe to our party announcements, we collect your email address to send updates about upcoming parties. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
  • Automatically collected usage data: when you visit paintedsweet.com, the advertising and analytics technologies described in Section 5 may collect device and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the links you click, and the website or advertisement that referred you. We use this information to measure website traffic and the performance of our advertising.

We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children. Booking and registration information is provided by parents, guardians, or hosting adults. We do not collect Social Security numbers, and we do not store your payment card numbers (see Section 4).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To schedule, confirm, prepare for, and deliver your party.
  • To confirm and manage Pop-Up Event ticket registrations and send attendees party communications and updates.
  • To communicate with you about your booking, consultation, deposit, and balance, and to send booking notifications and invoices.
  • To respond to inquiries you submit through our contact form.
  • To send party announcements and updates to subscribers who have opted in to our email list. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep records required to run our business and comply with applicable law.
  • To measure website traffic, understand how visitors use our site, and deliver and measure online advertising on platforms such as Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), so we can improve our services, customer experience, and sales practices.

Our emails are primarily transactional — they relate to a booking, consultation, or Pop-Up Event registration you requested. We also send party announcements to subscribers who have opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with service providers and advertising partners that help us operate and promote our business, and only as needed:

  • Square, Inc. — processes deposit, party balance, and ticket payments. Your card information is entered with and handled by Square; Painted Sweet does not receive or store your full card number. Square's handling of your data is governed by Square's own privacy policy.
  • Google (Gmail API). — used to send booking, consultation, Pop-Up Event registration, and invoice emails and internal staff notifications.
  • Google LLC. — we use Google services, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, to measure website traffic and to deliver and measure our online advertising. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — we use Meta advertising tools (the Meta Pixel) to deliver and measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Meta's handling of this data is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
  • Legal & safety. — we may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers or business.

The advertising technologies described in Section 5 may involve sharing certain online identifiers and browsing activity with Google and Meta in order to deliver and measure advertising. Depending on where you live, this may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" of personal information for targeted advertising. You can limit this as described in Section 5.

5. Cookies, Tracking & Do Not Track

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies — including the Google Analytics and Google Ads tags and the Meta Pixel (for Facebook and Instagram) — to understand how visitors find and use our site, to measure website traffic, and to deliver and measure the performance of our online advertising. These technologies may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and the advertisement or link that brought you to our site, and they may recognize your device across other websites and apps in order to show you relevant advertising.

We use this information to improve our website, our customer experience, and our advertising and sales practices. You can control these technologies in several ways: most browsers let you block or delete cookies; you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on; you can manage Google ad personalization in your Google Account ad settings; and you can manage your Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

Your browser may send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. DNT is an older browser preference signal, and we do not currently treat it as a separate automatic opt-out mechanism because third-party tools may not honor it consistently. We provide explicit cookie choices instead. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat that as an opt-out preference for optional analytics and advertising on this website: those technologies remain disabled, including when a stored cookie choice says "accepted." GPC does not disable necessary website functionality. These controls do not limit any other privacy rights that may apply to you.

6. Children's Privacy

Our website and booking forms are intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. The information we collect relates to parties for children but is provided by a parent, guardian, or hosting adult. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention

We keep booking, Pop-Up Event registration, payment, and communication records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which we delete or anonymize them. You may ask us to delete information sooner as described below.

8. Your Choices & Rights

You may ask us to review, correct, update, or delete the personal information you have provided. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within a reasonable time. Note that we may need to retain certain information to complete a transaction you requested or to comply with law.

Email subscribers may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you provide. Payments are encrypted and handled by Square. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page and post the updated policy here. Material changes will be reflected on this page; your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

On-Site Analytics

In addition to the third-party tools described above, Painted Sweet uses its own first-party analytics built into this website to understand how visitors use our site. When you accept cookies, we record anonymous usage events such as the pages you view, how long you spend on each page, and the links and buttons you click.

This information is stored on our own server and is not sold or shared with advertisers. We do not record your name, email address, phone number, or full IP address through these on-site analytics, and we do not use them to identify you personally. We use this data only to measure website traffic and to improve our website and services.

You can opt out at any time by selecting "Decline" on the cookie notice, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Declining turns off on-site analytics and does not affect your ability to browse or book.
